Two of my favorite things are glass art and sailing- and they both came together in this piece of art!

This sailboat is made from stained glass and driftwood. The mainsail is striped blue and patterned blue/green/white glass and the spinnaker is from a beautiful sheet of swirling blues and lime green. The driftwood has a coat of stain applied to bring out the natural beauty of the grain. The glass is framed with lead came, which is safe to handle but is not food-safe.

The sails are securely attached to the driftwood mast and hull with twine.

This would make a beautiful addition to any home, and would be a lovely gift for anyone who loves the water, nautical art, or the seashore.

The boat is 9” at its widest point and 8.5" tall. It would be best hung from a nail (no suction cups!) and a loop of twine is provided around the top of the mast for hanging.
