Two of my favorite things are glass art and sailing- and they both came together in this piece of art!

This sailboat is made from stained glass and driftwood. The mainsail is striped blue and white glass and the spinnaker is from a beautiful sheet of swirling blues and lime greens. The driftwood has a coat of stain applied to bring out the natural beauty of the grain. The glass is framed with lead came, which is safe to handle but is not food-safe.

The sails are securely attached to the driftwood mast and hull with twine.

This would make a beautiful addition to any home, and would be a lovely gift for anyone who loves the water, nautical art, or the seashore.

The boat is 7.5” at its widest point and 6" tall. It would be best hung from a nail (no suction cups!) and a loop of twine is provided around the top of the mast for hanging.
